Job Description:
The Clinical Operations Coordinator assists the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services in the development, interpretation and application of department policies, protocol development and standards of practice to assure quality patient care. Serves as clinical resource expert and role model to staff. Coordinates orientation, competencies, and ongoing education for the staff. Maintains department personnel files. Coordinates clinical affiliation and preceptorships.
Coordinates staff involvement in interdisciplinary rounds. Ensures regulatory compliance and operation of Blood Gas Lab. Assist the Director in maintaining the performance improvement program and participates in cross-organizational performance improvement activities.
The Coordinator participates in cost effective budgetary management. Develops department staff schedules and recommends placement of staff. Assists the director with budgetary management including: payroll integrity, productivity and daily charge reconciliation. Evaluates the department supply and equipment needs.
Qualifications:
• 4 year Bachelor's degree
• FL License as RRT/CRTT
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP certifications
• Minimum of 5-7 years respiratory care practitioner experience in an acute care hospital
• Previous experience as a clinical instructor, staff educator or clinical educator is preferred
