University of West Florida The Department of Health Sciences and Administration at the University of West Florida (UWF), in Pensacola, Florida, invites applications for a 12-month, full-time position, at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice in Respiratory Therapy. The salary for this in-person, non-tenure earning position will be commensurate with experience. The University of West Florida is a regional comprehensive public university serving over 14,000 students. Established in 1963, UWF is located on a 1,600-acre wooded campus in Pensacola—the “City of Five Flags” and cradle of naval aviation. The city is home to the U.S. Naval Air Station, the Blue Angels, and neighboring Eglin Air Force Base. Pensacola is renowned for its sugar-white sand beaches and the aquamarine waters of the Gulf of America, known as the Emerald Coast. The Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) program welcomed its inaugural cohort in Spring 2026 and is provisionally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), reflecting a strong commitment to excellence and national standards in respiratory therapy education. The faculty member will work collaboratively with the Program Director, Director of Clinical Education, medical director, clinical affiliates, and university partners to support program effectiveness, accreditation compliance, and student success. Will be assigned to teach didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical courses within the Respiratory Therapy curriculum, or in other areas as departmental needs dictate. Off-campus travel to affiliated clinical sites in Escambia, Santa Rosa, and surrounding counties may be required. Primary Teaching & Clinical Responsibilities:
