Daytona State College is proud to announce that it will offer an accelerated Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science that can be taken fully online, with options for in-person class meetings on the Daytona Beach Campus, beginning in Fall 2023!

Daytona State’s program will be the first B.S. in Cardiopulmonary Science degree program in the Florida College System to seek provisional accreditation from CoARC. The program will be eligible for federal financial aid and the state’s Bright Futures Scholarship Program.

Adjunct: Respiratory Care
Jacksonville University
Brooks Rehabilitation College of Healthcare Sciences

Position Summary:
Jacksonville University invites applications for adjunct Respiratory Care faculty positions to serve as clinical instructors in local Jacksonville hospitals for School of Applied Health Science students. This position would teach didactic Respiratory Care courses.
 
Work Conditions:
  • Primarily indoors except when traveling between campus buildings or being off-campus
  • Some off-campus travel required
  • Work is performed under minimum supervision and requires incumbent to exercise independence and discretion
  • Occasional evening and week-end hours
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity to efficiently operate a computer keyboard and scientific equipment
  • Near vision sufficient to read written communications and computer display screens
  • Adequate hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone
 
Prerequisites Required for Position:
  • Minimum Education Requirement: An earned master’s degree in respiratory care, health sciences, education, management or in a related field
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical practice setting (required)
  • Experience as an instructor (preferred)
